This policy outlines what information Alitsy Pty Ltd (ABN 59 606 810 726) collects when customers visit the website www.alitsy.com and use the Alitsy Platform and Application.

We have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). These principles govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information.

What information we collect

Personal Information, which is information that identifies a user as an individual, is collected by Alitsy from time to time when customers utilise our services. The primary purpose of the collection of information is to facilitate our clients’ ability to manage and submit their energy efficient installations to the energy efficiency scheme administrators.

Website

While visiting our website, we collect two types of information:

• Technical Information – our website is hosted on an AWS server based in Sydney, Australia, and the AWS host logs IP-based locations from visitors to the site.
• Name, email address, contact phone number, business name – this information is only collected if a customer completes an enquiry form or support form. We do not collect personal information such as names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers or other such information that identifies you as an individual, in any other way when using the website.

Alitsy Web Platform

When using our web-based platform, we collect business information including registered address, ABN, insurance certificates, contact name and information, fieldworker and licensed operator insurances and licence numbers, in order to create a custom instance of the Alitsy platform for your business.

We also store the information that you collect from your customers, such as contact information, names, addresses, electricity bill and distributor information, location information, and images of the property and old / new energy efficiency equipment, for the purposes of making claims under the federal and state government rebate schemes for energy efficiency.

The web application also collects information on browser type and version, the operating system used, IP-based location and screen resolution, when visiting the site.

Alitsy Mobile Application

The mobile application collects the same information as the web platform, with some minor variations:

• Device information, such as model and operating system, for the purposes of ensuring that the application is compatible with device.
• Location information - the application will check if user is online and connected to Wi-Fi or cell network tower for the purpose of uploading images, not store this information, but allow user to proceed with photo upload attaching GPS location information in order to meet government scheme compliance requirements of capturing geotags in images.
• Access to calls / SMS, only if explicit permission granted by device owner, and only while using the application for the purposes of customer communications.
• Offline access – for the purposes of uploading photos and files taken through the application, when in an area with cellular or wi-fi network coverage, the application allows offline local storage and caching of these images and content.
• Application usage – information is captured about error logs, application performance and users’ interaction with notifications.

Use of Personal Information

The primary purposes of collecting personal information are:

• To capture all information required by third party government energy efficiency scheme administrators to enable Alitsy clients to submit their installations for carbon abatement certificate processing.
• Communication with you and your team relating to our product and service subscription.
• Processing your payments.
• Reporting and general business function, administration and analysis.

What we do with Personal Information

Storage, Security and Access

The Alitsy platform and website are hosted on AWS servers based in Sydney, Australia. There is extremely limited access to the servers by Alitsy personnel, and the servers are protected with the Amazon security measures including but not limited to:

• Audit trails
• Identify and access management including restrictions on location-based access
• Multi-factor authentication
• Firewall

Disclosure

Information entered and stored in the Alitsy platform and application is only disclosed for the below reasons:

• When exported from the platform by the client for the purposes of submitting the data to energy efficiency scheme administrators.
• When there may be a legal reason to provide the information to authorities, such as a law enforcement agency, legal proceedings, regulation, law or similar requirement.

Access to your Personal Information

You may request to access the Personal Information we hold about you by contacting us in writing (see below), subject to certain exceptions as outlined in the Australian Privacy Principles as part of thePrivacy Act 1988. Please note that if you are a customer and have received energy efficiency upgrades as part of a government scheme, you would have already received a copy of the personal information you provided from your Accredited Certificate Provider / Accredited Person, in the form of assignment form, activity record or nomination form, as part of scheme requirements.

Alitsy will not charge a fee for the request of your personal information but may charge an administration fee for the provision of a copy of the information. You will receive the information within 30 days. Alitsy may also require identification documentation before providing the information.

Updates to this Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time and is available on our website. Any changes are effective immediately once posted on https://www.alitsy.com
